Jakob's Blessing

On Sunday February 19th, Neil gave Jakob a name and blessing.  It was a very nice blessing, and we enjoyed having our families there with us.

Sealing Day

On Saturday February 18th, we were able to go to the Bountiful Temple and be sealed as an eternal family.  It was amazing!  Most of our family and a few friends were there.  Joey was a perfect angel, and it was a beautiful, spiritual ceremony.  We are so lucky to have our boys!  After the temple, we went to eat at The Pizza Factory.  We celebrated Joey and Neil's birthdays.  Joey had an awesome Thomas the Tank cake made by my friend Michelle.  

Joey's first day of preschool

On Friday February 17th, Joey turned three years old and started early intervention preschool!  I am so excited for him to start his new adventure.  His teachers told me he did really well his first day.  A couple of days before starting school, we went to Target and Joey picked out a Thomas the Train backpack.  He knows that it is for school, and it is so cute to watch him wheel it around the house.  I had to take him his first day, but tomorrow he gets to ride the bus.  He is going to be so excited.  Here are the pics from the first day.  I had to wet down his hair right before taking him, so it kind of looks like he has a combover!

In January Neil and I went to Las Vegas by OURSELVES!  It was so nice!  Neil's mom was nice enough to come to our house and watch the boys, and my mom took the dogs to her house.  We went to see Celine Dion, Goddess of Song at Ceasar's palace.  It was our second time at Celine's show.  We spent our honeymoon 8 years ago in Vegas.   We stayed at the Stratosphere and rode the Insanity ride.  It was really scary!  We also went to Fremont Street, the Pawn Shop, the Bellagio Atrium, Bodies and Titanic Exhibits and more.  We packed alot into three nights and two days.

Finalization Day!

On February 8, 2012 we went to court and were able to finalize Jakob's adoption!  It was an awesome day.  We were able to take some pictures, I will post them soon.  Welcome officially to the family little man!

Welcome to the 21st century!

Hi Everyone!

  I may not have an Ipad, Iphone or Plasma TV, but I DO have a blog!  This is a big thing for me to actually start a blog.  I have wanted to for a couple of years now, but have never actually sat down and started.  The main reason I want to write a blog is to keep a journal of our life and for future posterity.  I am going to mostly write about the kiddos and funny things that seem to always happen to us.  I hope you enjoy!  Here are the first pictures.  It was a relatively nice day outside yesterday, so I bundled up the kids and took them to the backyard.  Joey had fun playing with his grocery cart and pushing Jakob around in it.  (Don't worry, I was right there!)  Jakob looked wayyyy too cute in his coat and hat!
